The Appellate Division handles cases after the defendants have been convicted of a crime in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
The prosecutor also represents the county before the Seventh District Court of Appeals, the Ohio Supreme Court, and the United States Supreme Court.
Every person convicted of a crime is entitled to at least one appeal, as a matter of right, to the Seventh District Court of Appeals.
